5 Common Sense Rules to Break to Thrive During Coronavirus

These are strange times. People have locked themselves up in their homes and are forced to rethink their lifestyle in more than one way. Well, strange times call for strange measures, right? Here are five common sense rules to break to thrive during Coronavirus.

No, we are not telling you to barge out of your horse and begin partying. All we are saying is you need to think about your present life with a different perspective. You’ll know what we mean as you go through the post.

Here are a few rules you should look forward to breaking during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Increase the Screen Time

Netflix and Chill! Right? Well, the rules say that you should be in front of the screen for long. Really? Do you want people to stay inside of their homes, isolated, having nothing to do, and want them to regulate their screen time? No way. Watch as many movies you want and play video games as long as you want.

Sleep Schedule? What Sleep Schedule?

Let’s face it. We don’t even know what day of the week it is. Stay indoors for too long and you will not know if it’s day or night outside. Your sleep cycle is most probably going to get affected. So, let it be. You don’t have a flight to catch tomorrow, right?

Get Social on Social Media

Now, everybody’s going live. That’s great. People are not being able to physically connect with their loved ones due to the pandemic. Social media and video conferencing apps are the only way out to socialize. Don’t worry about how much time you are spending on your social media platforms. Talk to people and let them know you care!

Quit Mopping the Floor for A Day, Will Ya?

Ugh! Enough with the mopping! It’s true that you have to maintain a higher level of hygiene during the pandemic. But, you don’t have to clean your house every single day! After all, you’re not expecting visitors are you? Cut yourself some slack and get rest. If you really want to clean your house, do it on alternate days.

Go Get Dressed!

Dress for yourself. Nobody’s coming to your house and you are not going to anybody’s house too. Does that mean you should not dress up and try different things? Nope. Just open your wardrobe and try on different dresses you have been buying. Click pictures and Instagram!

The pandemic is really taking a toll on our mental health. It is important for you not to make unnecessary rules for yourself during the pandemic. There’s no point in creating jails for yourself.
